All instructors must arrive 15 minutes early - Sign in at the office
Check for any ‘official absences’ with the school office - Do not ask the office for printing
Instructors must bring their copy and take attendance for each class (digital or print)
SAFETY PROTOCOL: Instructor(s) must call the school office (1st option) and parent (2nd option) before starting, if a student is not absent (according to the school’s attendance record) but is not in class. Failure to do this will result in a severe safety policy breach.
“Buddy/ group systems” recommended (for Elementary schools)
Must stay on-premise of the program location/ classroom
Instructor(s) must supervise students at all times
SAFETY PROTOCOL: In an emergency, injury, or accident, the instructor(s) should pause the program (breaks/bathrooms) and resolve the situation with optimal supervision for all students.
Instructor(s) must return any room/ space/ equipment to its original condition
Must stay until the last student is picked up (call parents ASAP if they are not on time)
Send an email report to your program director (or as needed)
Note any issues, challenges, concerns
Share any positive behaviour/ success stories/ testimonies
SAFETY PROTOCOL: Instructor(s) should report any serious concerns or behavioural issues to their program director to notify the appropriate people (School, District, DWUL, Parents etc.).
Within 24 hours, YOU MUST CALL the school and all parents ASAP, and email follow up
Before 24 hours, inform the school and all parents via email or phone in advance
Follow up with the School and DWUL to set up a make-up session or refund
